How this drug works
Carisoprodol, a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant, falls into the carbamate group of muscle relaxants, with a dose of 350mg. Here the following actions are: Carisoprodol is suggested to have its action in the brain and spinal cord by the depression of the central nervous system. It prevents certain nerve impulses that cause muscle spasms and sensory perception of pain. Sedative action may also be considered a minor side effect of muscle relaxation, tension, etc. Metabolism to Meprobamate: Carisoprodol is rapidly metabolized to active metabolite meprobamate in the liver. The anxiety-relieving action of meprobamate acts on CNS and enhances carisoprodol’s muscle-relaxing effects. It damages tissue or dynamic injury tissue leads to conversion. Further, it transmits signals of muscle pain to the brain or spinal cord. This means that carisoprodol prevents the transmission of pain through the brain or the spinal cord, relieving the discomfort from muscle spasms.
